Yesterday it rained all day…last night it started to sleet…then snow…this moring we have nearly 10″ of heavy wet snow with a nice layer of ice under it.
All the schools are closed and many people are without power.
Isn’t it beautiful! But it is very destructive!
Look at this arborvitae and Sawtooth Oak ..and what they looked like before the snow.
The forecast is for sun and warmer today so I hope some of this will melt so I can see if things spring back. Now I should shovel some of this mess.
I need to at least clear a place for Teddy. His legs arent long enough to handle a walk
Happy Snow Day
Tim

I wouldn’t want to have to shovel any of that mess – but what can you do. That is a lot of heavy wet snow. My son-in-law in WI got a snow blower the year before last and loves using it – my daughter who is no where near strong enough to shovel snow doesn’t have to encourage him to get busy any longer – he even does parts of the sidewalks in the neighborhood for fun!

Your Son-in-law is invited any time to have some fun here!!
Wow, did you ever get a LOT of snow! We got a very slight dusting of it which has already pretty much disappeared, thank goodness!
It was a lot of snow , and unusual to get so much this early in the year. Normally the first big snow doesn’t happen until after Christmas. It warmed up some today so the roads had a chance to melt I expect the rest will be gone in a few days.
