Yesterday I posted about the trimming of the thousand pyramids pieces.
I got a great Idea from Jean in the comments. She suggested that all those scraps would make great material for the birds to make nests. I am going to put them outside and let the birds have them.
Since I had birds on the brain I went outside to check on the robin that has made a nest in the weeping cherry tree in the front yard. I got a picture but the robin was not happy with me! I did take some other pictures of the yard as well. here they are (click to enlarge)

Happy Spring

You have a beautiful yard.
Thanks…I get a lot of enjoyment from my gardening
It must be absolutely blissful to spend time in your garden! The birds in your neighbourhood will have the best-decorated nests anywhere!
I hope I can see a nest or 2 with fabrics from the quilt used for decoration!….
Your yard looks beautiful, and your birdies will love you! Wish you’d come work on my yard…
I wish I could spend more time working on my yard but I still dont feel up to much hard physical labor….but the plants know how to grow on their own so they keep on going
I leave scraps of cotton wadding (batting) out on the garden wall and the birds around here seem to like them. What cosy nests they will have!
I will have to try offering some batting for them as well…the birds will think of it as a very desireable real estate market
