I have become obsessed with the little red schoolhouse quilt pattern lately (see the previous post for picture of the progress on hand quilting mine). My friend Kristen sent me a link to one for sale on eBay so I decided to see what else was out there on eBay. I typed in “house quilt” on the search line and I got quit a few examples! Happy Quilting

That’s very cool — as a city mouse, I especially like the red and white two-story house, fourth one down; the quilter built out a Schoolhouse, expanded it to better suit modern tastes (probably has granite counter tops and trace ceilings). Instead of Schoolhouse, we could call the Suburbanhouse or Townhouse. And whew, love that pink and green at the end! The Lily Pulitzer house or Preppyhouse. And I like that raspberry on orange sherbet housing arrangement — quilter shoulda’ done the sashing in lime green to complete the classic rainbow sherbet trifecta.
I love that expanded schoolhouse as well. I think the rich kids go to that school! the variety is fun
I love all of the schoolhouse quilts. My pocket doesn’t. I was on ebay this morning for over an hour and all that I saw was the two story red one.
Thank you. This is inspiring.
thank you
it is fun to look at them all, and I do spend time doing just that ….it is less frequent that I find one that is a great deal and actually buy one, I only buy tops, but I do enjoy seeing what is out there
I’ve got one I’d like to sell, too. Can send you a picture if you’d like.
Id love to see it….thanks
Update on my House Quilt, the one at the top of the page. It’s sold, and I’m very happy to say it went back to its state of origin.
great news!
