I continue to be amazed at the work you do!
Here on the Connecticut coast, my moonflowers have gone completely crazy. I have 8 buds ready to pop at any moment. They are extraordinary. I just wish I could see one actually bloom! Our roses are doing beautifully and will keep going until Election Day . . . I hope I can too! Take care, Byrd

Hey, Tim! Do you save and use the black walnuts? You probably would have to fight the squirrels for them, but they are so good. My grandmother was famous for her black walnut cakes, and they were my dad’s favorite. They are a bear to shell, though–my grandmother would soak them, then put them in a burlap sack and have one of my uncles or my dad run over them with the car or tractor, and then we would shell them–you should have seen our fingers!
