Colorful Stars

I don’t know what made me think about this quilt top today . Maybe it is the happy colors on a cold and rainy day.

It is all hand pieced and very well done.  the little stars are all nice and flat and the points are all there (the prairie points you see in the picture is another quilt hanging behind)

It is hard for me to put a date on it because the fabrics are all solids (prints are easier to date)

When I first bought this one I was sure It would be my next project….that was in 2009. It got packed away and I forgot about it as new projects happened. I think I will get it out of storage and look at it again and let it talk to me for a while….It might be ready now

Happy Quilting

Tim

It is sort of Christmasy. The picture from further away brought to mind holly leaves. It’s a wonderful top.

This one is worthy of your stitching.

  3. I am making a kosjes quilt similiar to this. But the spools are appliqued onto a 6.5 inch block, but I could piece the background block, something I will think about when I start to assemble. I love quilts like this, how wonderful, but it will be even more spectacular once it has your stitching on it!

That is such a wonderfully cheerful quilt! I’d love to see more of that one — and, of course, see the magic that happens when you quilt it.
