Fall Flowers

Last night I taught the students in Basic Floral Design Class  how to make a “non-traditional” floral design for fall.

We used roses, Solidago, mums, Gerbera (that is Gerbera, not Gerber daisy) and an assortment of pods, dried leaves, and birch twigs.  I love the colors and the variety of textures.

Nice arrangements! Snow’s coming, better get all the flowers out of that garden!

Nice! I find it very quiltspirational! Amazing that you have a garden in Michigan when it’s cold 🙂
