Quilters Helper

Here is my helper…  He doesn’t actually sew but he give lots of positive reinforcement. We need to find a thimble that will fit him.

helper Teddy

I (we) have been working on hand quilting the whole cloth quilt, but I did take a few minutes to make a few more snowflakes to add to the giveaway. (visit here to enter)

What a great helper! I wonder if someone would make a special thimble for four-footed helpers. 🙂
Your snowflakes are just amazing to see.

Thanks Cathi!…I tried to put boots on Teddy once so he would be able to walk in the snow (the snow really hurts his little feet)….I never did get all 4 on at once…I can just imagine trying to get a thimble on…

Thanks Kathie….I have been having so much fun thinking up different designs for them…and Teddy seems to be an expert at finding the little scraps of paper that I miss on the floor…so I guess he is helping

These are amazing! How on earth do you make such adorable snowflakes. How do you cut these intricate designs. Mine are not cooperating like yours are :/

  9. Carla says:

My Schnauzer Max says Teddy is wondering why you haven’t made a Schnauzer snowflake? I am amazed at how talented and creative you are!

I’d say Teddy is giving you lots of PAWS-itive reinforcement (groan…). I need to click on that link to see your new snowflakes. From the feedback I’m guessing they are awesome. The ones you’ve shown in the post are almost Celtic. Great stuff!

  12. Ann Hancock says:

Oh NOW I see the sewing machines!!…and the scissors!!
    Incredibly clever, Tim.

    • timquilts says:

      Thanks Ann!
Teddy is looking rather scruffy in the picture….he needed a good brushing….but he was in the middle of chewing on his toys and gets a real messy face!
The sewing machines were fun to make….had more trouble with the scissors, they kept looking bent

You could be on the edge of filling a niche market – paw thimbles for cat and dog quilters (our cat was one, although her idea of ‘helping’ was to sit on everything I made, even if I was acutally trying to hand sew)! =D

  14. Kathleen Campbell says:

I think you are now a PROFESSIONAL paper cutter! Fabulous sewing machines. Please give Teddy a hug for me.

These ones with the sewing machine are so over the top!!! Love them! Maybe you cold get a thimble charm to hang on Teddy’s collar?
