Christmas Designs

One of the things I look forward to each year is the East Lansing Garden Club December meeting.  I have been attending the meeting for several years now.  I make the centerpieces for the tables (the December meeting is a very nice lunch at the University Club) and then after lunch I do a floral design demonstration.  I also make up some “extra” arrangements which are available for sale.  I try to do something different every year, One year I bought all the containers and accessories from thrift stores (vintage kitchen items including cookie cutters and pots etc), another year I used a lot of dried materials from my garden.  This years theme is “produce market” .  I went to the local market and bought a variety of fruit.  I was inspired by the Pineapple post I did a few days ago.

I after the event Thursday I will post some pictures of the design I make as the demo.  I had a busy day with this so no quilting today  but here is a preview of the designs.
