More red stitches

I did some more work on the red perle cotton quilting on Saturday..also a bit on Sunday but spent most of Sunday in the garden.

I think you can see the overall design starting to emerge now.

???????????????????????????????

There will be a border design quilted in after the center is filled.

Here are some more pictures (click pictures to enlarged)

When I put a new area in the hoop I take out the safety pins and draw in a design.ย  I am using a BICย  .5 mm #2 disposableย  mechanical pencil (from the office supply store…super inexpensive)

It washes out easily if you don’t press too hard

I still have the Whole cloth quilt hanging and I couldn’t help taking a few more pictures

And just in case you think I am super efficient look at one of the piles of projects waiting for me to hand quilt.

???????????????????????????????

Happy Quilting

Tim

Tim, LOVING the redwork you are doing… it is amazing! Wondering though how MANY spools of DMC perle you will be using ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad you used a chance to show off your excellent trapunto work… and your quilts to be quilted won’t last long at your rate… love that you have some waiting for your handiwork to evolve them into works of art ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing your work with us! Kathi
