It rained pretty hard yesterday and a lot of the garden got a bit flattened but the sun is out and there is still a lot of color so I took some pictures.

I carefully avoided taking pictures that show the weeds! ….I have to get out there and do some work!!

I can’t wait to see the entire quilt when you are finished. Garden is still looking good.

Your quilt is going to be SNOWPENDOUS and I can see a ribbon on it one day, what a show stopper it is going to be. Lovely walk in the garden Tim thanks so much for uploading so many photo’s of your work and garden there is always so some thing to learn and enjoy on your blog. Cheers Glenda

I do enjoy the way we get to see your work evolving. Lots of people show you the start, and then nothing till the “tah-dah” moment at the end, which is kind of dull. This way, I know how you do your infill, and one day, one day, I’ll do some close, fine, weeny stitch quilting. But it’ll be something small, not a whole quilt, I don’t think my hands are up to a big item any more…

Enjoyed seeing your whole cloth quilts “in person” today at the Grand Rapids Quilt Show, Tim! They look even better there than in photos.

Your Deer Quilt is incredible! Just like your garden — do you not have any bunnies eating everything?

    • timquilts says:

there are a few bunnies in the neighborhood and occasionally I see one in my garden but they dont stay long….I think it is because of all the dogs….the neighbor has 5 the neighbor on the other side has 3 I have one….I think the rabbits just think it is better to stay away even though all the dogs are fenced in when they are outside

    Oh Tim,
I love how those deer just pop out with the elevation created by the quilting. So beautiful. And your garden makes me jealous!

I visited your quilts at AQS this week. Wow. I am totally in love with the whole-cloth. A couple of lovely ladies were looking at it when I got to it. I commented “not only is it beautiful from a distance, but look at that wonderful quilting. It’s completely hand quilted.” Well, it turns out they are from the Lansing guild you did your presentation to. We all agreed you are a sweetie AND so very talented. And we are amazed at the amount of work you get done!!! Thank you for sharing all you do! Quilting and gardening.
