Autumn is here.   The trees are really colorful around town and I need to get to work on fall clean up in my garden.

A few things still look good.  I took a few pictures but it is starting to rain so I will try again in a few days.     (click pictures to enlarge)

If the weather is good I have some bulbs to plant  and there are bags of leaves to rake and plants to cut down and flowers to harvest for drying.

I taught a class today….more floral design, I did get a few pictures.

I hope to get this quilt finished this week

I will post pictures soon

Happy Fall

Oh how I miss the Michigan fall weather – thanks for sharing the pics. Haven’t been back in 2 years & I miss picking up walnuts to bring back. There’s a farmer between Marshall & Albion that we came across & he always shares. We’re still around 90 during the day here, but cooling off at night finally.

LOL….I hate those walnuts!! my yard is full of them!!! from the neighbors trees….and the squirrels dig up everything burring them ….and they are really hard on the lawn mower….wish you were close you could have them all

You can see why the colours at this time of year have inspired so many quilters – gold, red and orange leaves against the green grass, the beautiful plume of flowers on your amaranth, those sensational black taro leaves. You have a lovely garden!

It’s always a lot of work putting gardens to bed for the winter but I enjoy it. What is the red long bloom second row in the middle? I’ve seen that before but didn’t know what it was. I just bought bags of daffodil bulbs. Got to get them out this next week.
