You’re amazing. We used to have a wire-haired terrier years ago – they are the best breed. Love that Teddy too!

  2. Sara says:

    Spectacular! Your best one yet!

  3. Pat Brown says:

This is awesome! I’m hoping you consider putting it into a quilt show (perhaps Road 2 CA) so that I might enjoy it in person. Thanks for your inspiration.

You’ve done it, and in good time, not just sneaking in under the wire! It’s very beautiful, and I hope it’s recognised for the amazing piece of work it is.

Hip- hip- hooray!! 🙂 I sure hope you win something on this. You deserve it with all that hard work.

Super, super, super!! And it is Christmasy (is that a word?) my favorite holiday of the year. I’m sure it will get lots of admiration wherever it goes. Fingers crossed, is right!

We are getting a preview of winter here in Maine; it’s been blowing a gale, literally, all day with sheets of snow and sleet! Brrrrrr!

Tim, After you wash your quilts do you throw them in the dryer or hang them to dry?

Kudos! Good luck with the binding.

Hi Tim what a journey you have taken us on with this exquisite quilt. Thanks so much for all the photo’s so we could really learn as it grew. This quilt takes me back to magical nights of walking to the night markets in Vienna and to and from church Xmas eve as snow was gently falling. Cheers Glenda Australia

When we were kids a favorite winter activity was folding and cutting paper snowflakes to tape to the window. They always looked splendid regardless of youthful inexperience. When I saw the first of your posts on this quilt I thought this was going to be a special quilt and I was right. It is a very sophisticated and updated version of a special holiday activity that is evocative and expert and remarkable. Thanks so much for sharing. It is going to capture the hearts of many, and the judges too.

Wow, amazing Tim!!! Been watching your progress and it’s turned out so stunning. I’m super impressed. So glad you were able to meet your deadline too. Can’t wait to see it bound and pictures of it hanging in shows. It will be a show stopper for sure. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

I’m baffled at how fast you can hand quilt… my hands hold me back.

    • timquilts says:

I don’t quilt particularly fast…..just many hours and am fortunate to have strong hands ……each corner took 30 hours not sure how many hours the center took ….but it is in the hundreds

  16. Glennis Salls says:

I love this quilt, the deer nd the trees are wonderful and of course the snow flake motif but my favourite is the jingle bells around the edge.

  17. Rose in VT says:

Wow Tim! Can’t believe you got it done in time! I’m sure you’ll do well with the binding also. And congrats to Teddy who I’m sure helped.
Glad I haven’t had a killing frost here yet, but we’re overdue. There’s still Angels Trumpet and summer annuals blooming in the front yard.

  18. Rhonda Casey says:

Congratulations on finishing the quilting. Hope I get to see it at a quilt show. Your poor fingers.

  19. Mimi says:

You made the dead line!!!! Fingers crossed that the judges love it as much as we do. XXXXXX

  20. Donna K says:

Wow za Tim. I loved watching the progress on this quilt. Thanks for posting all that you did. I especially do love the corners, the jingle bells and special diagonal grid. I hope judges recognize your talent!

Teddy is such a sweetie. We haven’t had a dog in our life for 7 years and I do miss our dog. It’s nice to share a bit with your dog.
