I have a quilt started with this fabric

To Enter for a chance to win one of these bundles post a comment to this post by Sunday Jan 11.   I will do a random draw on Monday Jan 12 to select the 4 winners. (only one entry per person please)

I normally try to respond to every comment but for this post I will not be responding because it will throw off my count.  The first comment will be number one, next 2 and so on, and the winners will be selected by number. If I respond it adds my comment to the number count and we don’t want me to win 😉

I love to see what other quilters are doing with the fabric.    Here is the Jewel Box quilt top that Lilian made (hand pieced) with her winning bundle (Luxury Essentials)
lilian's

I think it is great!

Here is what she said about the fabric “This was a very well behaved fabric,no twisting or distortion and easy to hand piece.Looking forward to quilting it.”   The quilting will be by hand as well.

I think it is great to see how different her quilt is from the one I made with the same fabrics

Luxury Essentials fabric, P&B textiles

Luxury Essentials fabric, P&B textiles

I told Lilian I would look into availability in the UK.   Here is a link to the international contact.  http://www.pbtex.com/international

I am still working on hand quilting the Antique Applique quilt

DSCN5353

I will also be working on all the UFO quilts I posted about here     https://timquilts.com/2014/12/

I think it will be a very good year for quilting.

Again to enter the giveaway post a comment  (it has to be here not on Facebook or on another post) by Sunday Jan 11 and I will announce the winners on Monday Jan 12

Happy Quilting and Good Luck

Tim

We want to make a patriotic quilt to raffle at the 2015 reunion. The proceeds will go to the 12th Armored Div. Museum in Abileen, TX to help keep those doors open for more to see the historical treasures displayed. Seeing the patriotic fabric brought on this story to share with you.

Port City would really make some interesting backgrounds for appliqué or for baskets. The ideas start flowing just looking at fabrics!

  189. asmateacher says:

    Hi Tim
    Love the fabrics!
I am amazed that you do all your quilting by hand. In a previous life (ie a long time ago) I used to embroider by hand (cross stitch, petit point, long stitch tapestry, bargello tapestry with wool and stranded cotton). Some pieces would take me six months or more.
I decided that I would do that while my eyesight was good and when I got older (ie now) I would try quilting. I guess I am addicted now and I am a little daunted by friends who hand piece. Nevertheless, I love my machine and the relative speed that I can complete a task and try something else that is new.
Best wishes to you with your hand work. Great to see that we are not all the same.
    regards
    Judy

Hi Tim. All of these fabrics are so nice. I love the fabric with the airplanes. My head is full of planes and pilots and this fabric just fits right into what is going on in my life right now. And the fabric with postage stamps is so neat. My confession is that I have a large stamp collection; nerdy, isn’t it?! Anyway, thanks for presenting these.
