Double line quilting

I finished adding the second line of hand quilting to the center

Here it is before

DSCN5591

and after

DSCN5593DSCN5594

That was just what it needed.

here is the back

DSCN5595

most of the rest is just more straight lines so it should not take forever to finish but I do want to take a break from it and get going on some of the others

Happy Quilting

Tim

That really makes a nice difference. I have a similar kit gifted to me several by a church member who was cleaning out to move to assisted living. I’m not ready to work on it yet (too many other things in line ahead of it) but I’m now sure I’ll use a color rather than white for quilting. And I’ll think about the possibility of additional quilting. This is just lovely.

The double lines really work! I love how you bounce between lots of different projects – like the guy on Ed Sullivan with all the spinning plates , ha! Well done.

More quilting usually adds another dimension. Those double lines do the job perfectly.

I really love the effect the double line creates – a bit like a pinstripe suit. I wouldn’t have thought a small change like that would have as much impact as it does.

The doubled lines and blue thread take this quilt to the next level; good calls.

Amazing what a difference that second line makes. Another big thank you, nation, for providing still more inspiration. Love those emails that leave me itching to pick up my needle and get sewing!

Stupid auto correct. It popped in “nation” when I keyed in “Tim”. Ugh!

Have you considered triple line quilting, or would that be overdoing it?
