Cherry Tree and Mulching

My weeping cherry is in full bloom today.    It is so beautiful!

I had to take a bunch of pictures (click pictures to enlarge)

I got a delivery of mulch today .   I like double ground pine bark mulch.    It decomposes much faster than some other mulch like cedar but that is what I like about it.     It adds organic material to the soil faster.   it also looks good, holds down the weeds and retains moisture.

I got 3 yards today….I didn’t think to take a picture before I had half of it spread in the beds but here is half of the pile

I need a lot more!    But it is a good start

another delivery in the next few days

Now I am ready to put my feet up and do some hand stitching

Happy quilting

I like the pine mulch too! Need to get a good top coat down on the back beds this week…I’m already so behind here in GA!

Tim how do you find time to sleep – you always seem so busy cramming so much into one day. Well done you. Have a great day from the UK.
