Finished bag

Well it took forever…..but now that I got it done I know that the next one wont take as long.   I don’t think I have ever used a pattern for anything…..and I don’t often do this kind of sewing ( making something other than a quilt) so it is a bit of figuring it out as I go.

At any rate I am pleased with how it turned out and glad it is finished 🙂

Happy quilting

Tim

WOW. I love the way the quilting and infill stitching picks up the tone of the leather handles and lining. Really handsome. What a lot of work you put into this!

We are almost done putting everything to bed in the garden and this years shipment of bulbs from OHG have been planted. I am so envious of your beautiful green lawn. Between the drought and a horrible grub infestation ours is a total wreck. Time for a re-do next spring (and some parasitic nematodes).

WOW…..what a lot of work in store for you! (and the nematodes)
I didn’t get a single bulb planted this fall….and I had such big plans! will have to try for next fall

The bag is wonderful. I wish you would share the pattern with us, but if you didn’t use a pattern, then I’ll have to look it up on McCalls or Vogue. Keep sharing !

unfortunately it is really hard for me to make a pattern …..I don’t use a pattern so I am not really sure even what is needed in one……other than measurements , and I dont measure really either, just depends on how the quilting part turns out and then I work around that

I just want to say how much inspiration I am gaining from your extremely informative videos. I have been in a bit of a rut as far as my sewing goes. At the moment I’m de cluttering my life. Clearing out anything unnecessary, to make way for heaps of beautiful & creative. Minimalism, I believe is the way to go. Cheers for now 🇦🇺🙏
