I think I posted this picture of Teddy watching me quilt a while ago.
I am in the process of making a quilt based on the photo
I have a lot more to do before I am ready to quilt it but it is a good start ….
My Mackintosh Rose quilt will be at AQS quilt week in Grand Rapids MI August 10-13 and in Des Moines Iowa October 5 – 8
I’ll let you know if it wins anything🙂
A few people have asked about the Crayola markers I have been using ….some have said they did not wash out for them so I decided to do a test on white fabric to show my results.
Here I marked the fabric
and here it is after a wash and a quick pressing
I have never had any problems….but it never hurts to test your fabric first
My hand quilted reindeer snowflake quilt will be at a few AQS Quilt Week events soon.
First it will be in Syracuse NY July 29 – Aug I http://www.quiltweek.com/locations/syracuse/
next in Grand Rapids MI August 12 – 15 http://www.quiltweek.com/locations/grand-rapids/#tab1
I probably will not make it to the NY show but I do plan to be in Grand Rapids (only about an hour drive) unfortunately AQS shows do not allow dogs🙂
Teddy will not be able to attend,
but he did spend some time relaxing on the quilt.
I am still working on my other project so I don’t have any quilt updates…..but I will soon.
I always have garden pictures this time of year. Here are pictures I took this evening. (click pictures to enlarge)
I submitted my Tree of life to AQS in Grand Rapids….and I won best hand workmanship!! see the results here http://aqsshows.com/AQSGrandRapids/contests/2013-winners-announced/

I am so excited!!
I got my acceptance letter today From AQS for my Tree of Life Whole Cloth Quilt. It will be in the Grand Rapids Michigan AQS show Aug 14 – 17
